Giant Basilisk Lizards are carnivorous, larger than average reptiles. They are sure-footed, fast, and are easily recognized due to their size, long tail and small, and razor-like teeth. The defining trait of this creature is it's unique ability to literally sprint across water. While its stamina lasts, these beasts can glide over the water's surface, before eventually sinking in and relying on its ability to swim. These factors make this lizard a great mount for warfare, when properly trained and armored. They are bred for quick and agile movement, so they are not capable of pulling vehicles.

Due to their size individuals of larger-bodied tribes cannot ride them.
