User Accounts[]
Hi! I was wondering whether we should be concerned about the sharp uptick in user accounts being created but never doing any work on the wiki. I know we have controls in place to prevent accounts from posting links until they've done a number of edits, but I worry that there may be some other thing going on.
Certainly it's possible that these are legitimate users, if some Kingdom or guild or such is encouraging members to register. But it would be good to know they're not part of some botnet or such. ;)

- You're quite right that they are most likely spam accounts, but there's nothing we can really do. we have no mechanism to stop them being created. They are prevented from doing any damage by our spam filters for the most part (obviously nothing is 100% proof against concerted vandalism) — Game widow ( talk ) 16:51, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
